Asics Melbourne Marathon...Sunday October 12, 2003

MAGNUS THE MAGNIFICENT!

Magnus Michelsson streeted the field today in the 26th Asics Melbourne Marathon. Leading all the way, Magnus cruised through the first 10k in just over 32 minutes. His winning time of 2:13:59.86 was one of the fastest times in the Asics Melbourne Marathon history.

 

Magnus in winning today's race placed himself in contention for Olympic 'B' qualifier.

 

More than 6000 runners took part in todays festival.

 

The winner of the womens Asics Melbourne Marathon was Loretta McGrath in a time of 2:49:02.

Olympic Dream... Sunday Nov 16, 2003

 

Congratulations to Craig Mottram (29.16) and Benita Johnson (31.55) who won the 10K  Olympic Dream.

 

First Male and Female in the 10K Wheelchair Division were Kurt Fearnley (22.59)  and Eliza Stankovic (28.26).

 

The 6K winners were Michael Bourne (21.43) and Jenny Rowan (22.52).
